How LLM billing works
Mach4 routes LLM traffic through an in-house gateway that meters tokens per user and org.
On Free, you bring your own Anthropic API key — it's stored in your OS keychain
and never sent to our servers. On Pro and above, we hold a managed key on your
behalf and include a monthly credit ($20 Pro / $40 Team).
When you exhaust included credit, traffic continues at Anthropic list price plus the tier overage markup (+20% Pro, +15% Team, +10% Enterprise). The markup covers key management, rate-limit pooling, and usage accounting — not a hidden margin. You can always switch back to BYOK to avoid the markup entirely.
Enterprise customers can negotiate a bundled pass-through contract with custom volume pricing directly against Anthropic's API. Talk to sales for details.

Common questions.
Yes. Free is free with no time limit. You get 2 parallel agents, the top 30 skills,
and local-only memory. The only limit is the Anthropic API cost you pay directly with
your own key — we never touch it.
One seat = one Mach4 account actively signed in on Team or Enterprise. Seats are org-level,
not device-level. You can install the desktop app on multiple machines with the same account.
Team credits and agent capacity pool across all seats in the org.
Yes. BYOK is available on every tier. On Pro / Team, bringing your own key bypasses the
managed gateway entirely — no overage markup, no credit deduction. You pay Anthropic directly
at list price. The included credit applies when you use our managed key.
Agents keep running. Traffic continues at Anthropic list price plus the tier overage
markup (+20% Pro, +15% Team). You're charged only for what you use. There's no hard cap
or automatic suspension. You can set a soft budget alert in settings and switch to BYOK
at any time to eliminate the markup.
Yes. Annual billing is 17% cheaper: Pro drops from $30 to $25/month ($300/yr),
Team drops from $60 to $50/seat/month ($600/seat/yr). Switch anytime — if you
switch mid-cycle, you get a prorated credit.
Free and Pro memory is private to each user — your preferences, decisions, and session
history never touch a teammate's context. On Team and Enterprise, you can promote a
project vault to "shared," making architectural decisions and tribal knowledge available
to everyone in the org. User-level memory (preferences, personal working style) is always
private regardless of tier.
SSO (SAML 2.0 + OIDC), SCIM, and the self-host bundle (Docker-compose + Helm) are
planned for v1.2, targeting months 12–15 post-launch. Enterprise customers signed
before GA will receive access at no additional charge when it ships.
Yes. Downgrade or cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. If you cancel a paid plan,
your subscription runs to the end of the billing period. Your data (memory, skills, specs)
is yours — you can export it in full before or after cancellation.
